If you don't want to sign up for a subscription, click the "Enter Now" button that's to the right of the picture of the Daily Freebie.

On the next page, scroll down until you see the picture of the magazine cover and the section to the right of it that reads: "No purchase is necessary to enter". Click on the highlighted words "click here" and that will bring you directly to the entry form that won't generate a subscription order.

Eligibility: Open to females ages 13 to 29 who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and Canada at the time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, Quebec, and where prohibited by law.

Occasionally, the entry form experiences problems, and a correctly spelled lower case code is not accepted. If you receive this error message on a non-holiday weekday, wait a few hours and resubmit your entry, since these glitches are usually corrected before the end of the business day. On weekends or holiday weekdays, these glitches may not be corrected until the next business day.

Enter the daily codes in lower case only, as the form will not accept codes in upper or title case.

2 questions:

1. I have a name that could possibly pass as female, but I want to enter for my SO. Is there any way they will be able to find out and disqualify me?
2. If I accidentally sign up for the magazine, how do I get the stupid thing canceled before it arrives at my door?

I don't know what mechanisms, if any, they use to prove eligibility. If they find out, they will disqualify you and blacklist you from being able to enter any sweeps that Hearst sponsors. They also publish the names of all the winners and their locations, so if anyone reports you, Seventeen may ask you to pay for the full retail value of the prize.

Go to Seventeen's customer service page:

and login using your email address and zip code, or your name and mailing address, and click the "Cancel Subscription" link in the column on the left hand side of the page. It's the third option from the bottom under the "Subscriber Options" section.
