Anyone out there shop Albertson's?

I just read that my local supermarket was bought out by Albertson's. Can anyone tell me if Albertson's allows double coupons and how they are about deals/coupons in general? I would hate to see doubles end in my area, and this particular chain is the only one in this area that has doubles and store coupons every week!

I'm not familiar if Alberson's doubles coupons, but they are VERY expensive in my area. If you're gonna shop there, you better hope that they double

When I lived in Oregon I shopped at Albertson's and not once did I see them doubling coupons!

I think it depends on the store. There are probably 10 Alberton's in my area, only 2 double coupons. I dont do my heavy shopping there because they are expensive, but they sometimes run great deals. Like this week they have a 10 for $10 sale, with mix and match items/ Just watch the ads.

Here in Idaho they don't double coupons.

I go to Albertsons the most. Mostly out of convenience and habit, and knowing the store up n down, as well as the employees. Mine doesnt double, no stores in this area doubles. They do have some good sales, and they take most all coupons without a hassle. They take manufacturers and competitors coupons. I havent found them to be more expensive than the others (Smiths and Vons) but of course Food 4 Less and Super Walmart are cheaper.

They recently started using a "club card" just like all the other stores around here do. With this they have a promo of getting 2 free movie tickets with every $200 you spend with the new preferred savings card. I already got 4 free movie tickets due to "preferred savings", bonus buys, and coupon use. I've only had the card about 2 weeks, and there is no way I spent $400. More like $150. ( I racked up alot with the Kraft $5/3 coupon from Vons that was out a couple weeks ago and also I scanned my card with purchases from WIC checks.)

We have an Albertsons that I shop at all of the time. (beings my only other choice is walmart) Like Deb said here in Idaho they do not double coupons. When I contacted the corp offices they told me that they only do that if another store in the area does so also. They do take other stores coupons though. If it is for a store brand item like fred myer product they will subsitute it with an Albertsons brand product for the same price.

If a price rings up wrong in their system and you catch it that product is free. Unfortuantly if you bought 5 of that product only 1 is free.

My Albertsons will let me use 20 of the same coupon if I choose. Which is nice for free products and sales. Also if they have a in store coupon which is not a manufactuers coupon they will let you combine it with a manufactuers coupon. My checkers are great and will always ask me if I forget if I have another coupon to go with it.

The preferred card they offer is a must. That is basically the only way you actually get something on sale. When they first started using them they offered deals like free movies, 20 percent off your next purchase and such like that after you purchased so much in a certain time frame. It has now been months now since anything like that has been offered here now.
You can use that preferred card at any Albertsons anywhere in the united states though and if you loose your card they can just
punch in your phone #.

Every week they have what they call extreme deals. Where they offer a name brand product at really low prices. Most of the time I can get those products for free with coupons. They also have a lot of sales for 10 for 10.00. Those used to be good also, but here lately it is all of their name brand products which I don't
have oodles of coupons for.

Oh yeah I forgot about that Scan Accurracy Free Item, if it rings up wrong. I really appreciate that. It comes at times you dont expect it, but I have gotten some expensive things for free such a big bag of dog food($8), a big can of coffee($8), and ice cream($4). And the cashiers never gave me any looks or grievances about it. They just make the changes before someone else gets it.

Sometimes an end cap may advertise a price other than a shelf, and they still honor it to you as it's their fault someone didnt fix the end cap.

The Albertson's here takes other stores double coupons. I got 2 boxes of Pillsbury cake mix free yesterday there, using a manufacture coupon and then a Safeway double coupon. They even let me use a Thriftway catalina for coffee creamer, then doubled it with another Safeway double. I love the Albertsons here!

Yep, I LOVE Albertsons during their 10/10 sales. I usually end up getting a full cart of groceries for little of nothing. And if you catch the meat counter just about closing time, they put their fresh hamburger out at .99 per lb. I usually try to combine this with the 1.00/1 meat winetag and get the butcher to package it in one lb. packages for near free meat! Last time I had 35 of those winetags and got 37 lbs of hamburger for 2.00!! It's a great deal. And this week they have Dannon Frusion 10/10 and there's a 1.00/1 coupon out there so those would be free.

I don't regularly shop Albertson's/


They did just bring in the Preffered customer card, (club card savings) and they are also accepting other store coupons.

I go in for the weekend deals mainly, but they don't double. sorry.
