Target Red Card
Target has started a new credit card that you get free rewards in store for using it every week. This week it is a free Sonia Kashuk lipstick ($6.99) Last week it was a free 15 pack of Rayovac batteries. It is such an awesome deal, since I go there every week anyway! Also, I pay this off at the customer service as I'm leaving the store so I don't get a big bill ran up. You can sign up for this credit card at their registers and you get $10 off your first purchase too!

THANKS!! it is only giving me the option of the
Target Visa or the Target Guest card.....i dont not see the Red card anywhere!?!??!?!
also how can you tell what the free item will be from week to week? thanks again!

On the website it says you have to apply for it in the store. It only takes about 5 mins. to do and then you get the $10 off right away too. The link I have here says what the free items will be every week. Also at the store they will tell you what the next weeks free item will be.

from what i understand (and i'm no expert, so don't quote me on this) the target card or the target visa is your 'redcard'. i've been getting the free items of the week for some time now, with my target visa card.
i was also told that currently the free item of the week was only available in certain cities (milwaukee, seattle and san antonio??? honestly, i just remembered milwaukee ... the other two may be wrong) with an expansion soon, hopefully!
i've gotten mailers from target each month, stating what the free item will be. i believe the last one was in my target visa statement. i'd watch your local store for little red signs that say 'redcard free item of the week'. i know that not all of the targets in my area are participating yet, and i haven't seen one in the chicagoland area with free items yet either.
hth!!! i'll post more info if i find it!

I just called our Target here. This is what I was told: You need to first spend up to $1000 before you will qualify to get the free item each week. It is their Target Visa card. You can apply online or in store. You save 10%, not $10, off your first purchase.

I have the Target Visa....you spend $1000.00 and get a 10% discount on your next purchase. I have never heard of the item of the week though. I got 10% off my purchase when I first signed up. I will have to ask about a red card.

Sorry I forgot to say that I also have spent the $1,000 many times over and I still only get the 10% off card for doing so.
