If you are really interested in working from home, you should check out www.wahm.com. There is a wealth of information posted there.

I've been working from home in various customer service positions, as well as doing legal document coding, transcription, and more, for 2.5 years now. If you have the motivation, there are legitimate opportunities out there beyond the home-based businesses that most people are familiar with.

I was checking out the Alpine application and one of the requirements said
Ability to be online and on a phone call simultaneously via a landline (cell phones, cordless phones and VoIP phones do NOT currently meet minimum requirements)

Where on earth can you find a phone that isn't cordless? Do they even still make phones with cords on them?

They sure do; I bought a corded phone about a month ago at Wal-Mart that was six dollars.

You know you can buy a new battery, right? Instead of a whole new phone.

Yes,but I can never find the batteries because they quit making the phones by the time my battery dies.

    Wink

    Hey T-Kuczy

If you work from home, do they give you the headset. Or do some pay for your training?

I went to Apline Acess website..
the below message was on the site

    Agent Applicant Information:
Thank you for your interest in joining the Alpine Access team. Due to anticipated growth, we are very excited to announce future plans to expand our employee base into additional states in the upcoming months.

I'm at work, I was denied acess to the other sites.. Because the company I work for, Blocks us from going to websites - that is for seeking other employment- But when i get home..
I will look into the web site that you recommend

No, they don't provide you with a headset. You are responsible for all of your equipment, but as an independent contractor, any business expense can be written off on your taxes. I actually purchased a corded phone at Wal-Mart that came with a headset for $9.99 when I used to work on the phone.

Most companies do not pay for your training, but there are a select few that do. I've never worked for Alpine, so I am not familiar with their requirements. I did phone work for LiveOps and West, and they both did not pay for training.
