DHL delivery is a nightmare- anyone else having problems?

I realize there are worse things going on in the world...but I have to say this~I was supposed to get 2 pkg's delivered yesterday- they never showed up- I hate DHL this has happened to me before- I just got off the phone with the CSR~ she said she would try to call them + try to have it delivered today....ughhh ...if I had a selection of shippers to have been able to choose from they wouldn't have been my choice! I'm just frustrated as these are Christmas gifts that need to be here by tomarrow at the latest + seeing I paid "premium shipping" I should be getting that- sorry to vent I figured my friends here would understand!!!! Other than that everything here is just jolly!

We're in a rural area, and when we see that a package will be shipped via DHL, we cringe! We once had a package come out of Lexington, Ky (about a 2 hour drive from us), go to Illinois!, then to Nashville, TN, then to Bowling Green, Ky., then to our post office in town, and our mailman delivered it! Took over a week for our package to get here after it toured the country for a week. This is one company I would never use for shipping.

Hope you do get it today........but it may just be delivered by the mailman, you never know.

I agree. I had ordered stuff from a company a couple months ago, they use DHL. Everything was ordered the same day and in stock, but shipped at different times. The order was suppose to arrive on a specified date, but it was delivered a day later. Since it wasn't anything really important, I just waited.
Seems as though UPS here is having probs too. Yesterday, well last night actually, someone rings my doorbell. A woman got a package dropped off at her doorstep by UPS. It wasn't her package, but she was going around all the address with the same number on the package asking if we were the person named on the address label. Sheesh. I hate delivery personel, UPS and DHL (FEDEX seems to be fine), especially this time of year.

I hate DHL! I live in Kentucky also. DHL has had my package in Huntington, WV since last Thursday and can't seem to get it any further. When I called them they said it was delivered to the post office. I told them that it was not there. Then I talked to a supervisor and she told me it would be delivered yesterday but no it wasn't. The tracking on their website shows now that it is "scheduled for delivery". I would have been better off driving the 2 1/2 hours there to pick it up myself.

I placed my first and last order with Amazon because of DHL. I ordered a GPS. It was shipped USPS but when I received it, it wouldn't work so I sent it back and they said they would send me another, I paid for overnight delivery. They shipped it DHL. I received it 8 days later, left in my driveway in the rain, the box was open and the item was used. I called Amazon and told them that I was not happy. They told me to ship it back again but it has been over a month since I first ordered, they have my money for the GPS and the $22.00 that it cost to ship both back and I have nothing. I have not been happy with Amazon or DHL. I also live in a rural area of Kentucky.

It isn't just Kentucky, lol...I am in NH...I ordered from Endless...actually they use Amazon check out...anyway...when I got shipping notification I cringed when i saw DHL...the items were supposed to be overnight delivery...shipped on the 17th to arrive the 18th...guess what...nope...didn't come here yesterday...so I emailed Endless and am very disappointed!

Woo-hoo!--look at all the KY people--LOL! I'm in Lexington, KY. I don't like DHL either, but they usually leave a notice on my door & I can go pick it up the same day (after 6 or 6:30pm) at their delivery center. I have the most problems with Fedex.

I am on the opposite side I really like DHL I live in a rural area DHL comes right to my door On the other hand I dislike fedx We have a gate they leave my packages by it instead of opening the gate and driving to my house I have called fedx about it numerous times they wont do a thing UPS and DHL open the gate I guess we will have to put a sign sayin fedx please deliver to the house

wow i havent ever had a problem with dhl. so sorry to hear ya'll have. But maybe i havent had a problem because i have always ordered computer parts and need them quickly. have always gotten them next morning or 2 days after i ordered it depending on if the company had to get it from someplace else. Hopefully i never have a problem, i would be pissy if it took a week when its coming from 2 hours away.

I have had many packages delivered by DHL and have not had any problems, but I was supposed to have a package delivered to on Tuesday and it showed that it was in the city on Monday. When I checked Tuesday morning it showed that they sent it over night to a major city 200 miles away! LOL I did recieve it on Wednesday though! Happy Holiday all!
