SINCE WE ARE ALL FORCED TO SHOP AT WALMART, HOPEFULLY I CAN POST THIS HERE AND SOMEONE WILL COMPLAIN WIHT ME.

I LIVE IN BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA,AND A WEEK AGO, A GUY AT THE PERKINS ROAD WALMART, STOLE TWO DISPOSABLE CAMERAS AND THE LADY COP, LT. VICKIE WAX, WAS SHOT AND KILLED BY THE THEIF. SHE WAS HANDCUFFING HIM AND HE OVERPOWERED HER, AND SHOT HER FACE AND HEAD OFF.
A SKINNY BLACK MAN, OLDER IN AGE,WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS, HE WAS A CUSTOMER WHO RODE HIS BIKE TO WALMART TO BUY A BATTERY FOR HIS RADIO, HE IS VERY POOR ,MAKES HIS LIVING BYF PUSH MOWING LAWNS , STEPPED IN TTO TRY TO HELP VICKIE AND PUT HIS LIFE ON THE LINE. HE WAS ALSO SHOT AND SPENT OVER A WEEK IN HOSP. WITH NO INSURANCE. ALSO THE SECURTIY GUARD WAS SHOT, BUT NOT SERIOUSLY.THE CUSTOMERS BIKE WAS STOLEN FROM WALMART.
DO U THINK THE DAMN WALMART GAVE HIM ANTOHER ONE? NO.HE SAVED SO MANY CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES LIVES THAT NITE.
WALMART REFUSES TO PAY ANY OF HIS MEDICAL BILLS OR ANYTHING.THE POLICE DEPT BOUGHT HIM ANOTHER BIKE AND HAS SET UP A FUND FOR HIS MEDICAL BILLS. BUT THE COMMUNITIES HERE THINK WALMART IS PAYING HIS BILLS.THEY ARE NOT. WALMART WAS FORCED TO SHUT THEIR DOORS FOR SEVERAL HOURS TO ''JUST CLEAN UP HER BLOOD AND BRAINS OFF THE FLOOR" THEN THE AHOLES OPENED IT RIGHT BACK UP,TO MAKE THEIR MONEY HUNGRY EVIL MONEY. FORGET THE DEATH THERE. I AM INFURIATED. I CALLED 1800WALMART, NO LUCK. THEY DONT EVEN CARE. CAN ANYONE HELp MAKE WALMART PAY OR CALL THEM OR SOMEHTING? PLEASE? THANKS.

Once I verify the details, I will write a letter to Walmart and let them know I won't be shopping there any longer because of their lack of humanity.

Maybe you can contact your local news station. Here they will do a "Shame on You" segment to air sad stories like this and try and help the victims.

Contact the newspapers, news stations, radio stations and local mayor. The more people that get upset about this, the more of a chance of Walmart taking a positive action.

Unfortunately, no, they DON'T care...they have gotten so huge that their one great big conglamoration who tries to make themselves look like they're so interested in your family and so friendly, blah blah blah. They could easily give that poor guy a bike and pay his medical bills without even feeling it, but it's all about the almighty dollar...and power. I think they think they've gotten so big no one can touch them. I'm venting too, because I'm not too happy with corporate America right now, and to hear this just p.o.'s me even more. I really try to not shop there anymore when I have an alternative.

instead of trying to contact Wal Mart, why not contact all of the local news stations and newspapers? that will get the word out faster than trying to yell at Wal Mart, who cares about no one.

The man who many call a hero for trying to save the life of slain police officer Lieutenant Vickie Wax will be getting medical financial help from the department store chain where the shooting took place nearly two weeks ago. WAFB' s Matt Clough has the story.

Thursday night we told you about the local doctor trying to put a lien on the reward fund set up for Stanford Wilson. Friday morning Wal-mart publicly announced it will pay all his immediate medical expenses. This includes all the medical bills while he was in Baton Rouge General. They say it's the least they can do to help a man they call a hero.

Stan Wilson was shot in the forearm and the armpit while trying to wrestle a shoplifteroff Baton Rouge Police Lieutenant Vicki Wax. According to the Baton Rouge Police Union, the doctor who operated on Wilson approached them about pulling money out of the hero fund to cover Wilson's medical bills. Dr. Ronald Sylvest's office even considered putting a lien on the fund in order to get their money.

A spokesman for the police union says they thought Wal-Mart would cover Wilson's medical expenses and that way the hero fund could be used for its orginal purpose, as a reward for Stan. It was never made public but Wal-Mart manager Donny Briggs says the superstore had every intention to pay the bills and that's exactly what they're going to do.

If you're interested in helping Stan Wilson, you can make donations at any Hancock Bank. Just ask for the "Our Hero" fund.

That is a shame. I haven't shopped at Wal-mart in a couple of years and won't because of stuff like that. I can get whatever I need online or at Target or K-Mart. Did the catch the guy who shot her?

There should be a crime victims compensation fund that can be found through the police department victim advocate. Also thry the District Attnorneys Office. The compensation fund should help with a chunk of his medical bills(usually upto $20,000) counsleing, lost wages--etc. Each jurisdiction is different but it is worth him to look into to assist with bills, etc.
Unfortuately Walmart isnt as friendly as they should be--goodluck!
