Happy day!!! Commissary Accepts Internet Coupons Again
Commissaries Ok Internet Coupons Again
Commissary shoppers can again put their Internet surfing skills to good use. This week, the Defense Commissary Agency began accepting coupons printed from the Internet, after refusing the printouts for nearly a year. According to a DECA press release, the commissaries stopped accepting the coupons last September because fraudulent use of them was costing the grocery industry as a whole millions of dollars. Although the Web coupons are accepted now, there are limitations. They must have bar codes, and no Internet coupons for free items can be redeemed. The coupons can be found at www.military.com or at Websites for product manufacturers. There are many Internet coupon sites as well, but many offer store-specific coupons that can't be used at the commissary. The commissary also will have links to Internet coupon sites in the future at www.commissaries.com. For more information, see this article. To check out the latest deals and coupons visit our Miltiry Discount Center. |

Try it. I usually go to the young guys who work late afternoon early evening after school. They are less interested in this old ladies coupons and more interested in the teenaged hotties walking by....But I am going to print out the info from the web site cause knowing my commissary they will try to say they don't accept them.

I would contact Deca on that then because no commissary management can make their own rules the commissary is under Deca and not the managements discretion. While you are doing it just keep telling yourself that someone (I don't know if it is you or your hubby) in your family is putting their life on the line everyday and this is just one small way the military gives back.

commissary coupons
Next time I'll probably just bring a copy of the news release from DECA. I think it was on Military.com? I don't go to the commissary very often because it's an hour away. My husband is going to school in NYC so we're kind of on a break from the army. He's still active duty but it sure is nice to pretend he's a civilian after 2 deployments!

thanks for posting I had no idea, and when I called they said exactly what you said about the exception of policy with the free and code issue on the coupons. I wonder why they never posted it in the commissary though. I guess they figure the less people know the less they will get of them. Thank you again

You are quite welcome. And let's all use those internet coupons when we can so they know it's important to us.
