ISO tire sales....
I believe the sales start in March but I need one NOW and want the best deal...
Can anyone tell me where to find it???? I found the size in my car owners book, checked it with the tire I had on, checked Consumer Reports for best tire for my car....then called around....found my best deal....went in and (deja vu) they tried to convince me that isn't the right size (??) they aren't the best for my car or that they have just been discontinued and I need a much more expensive one. (Granted they have tire stem and recyling fees and taxes....I know that...I had him figure it over the phone...but I am talking about why do they advertise and on the phone they claim to have it...but the whole story changes when you are there and prepared to sit for awhile while they do the work and now have to pay them like $30 or more than what they quoted???? (Call their sister store and act dumb and just say.."Uh, I need a tire" in order for them to tell you what you need and by golly, they tell you exactly the size and brand you had gone to the other store asking for...and strangely, they have that discontinued tire.) |

I *think* I heard on another board that Costco is having a tire sale.
However, I know that I personally have found the best prices at www.tirerack.com . It usually costs about $40 to have them mounted at your local shop. If you have a Tire Rack distribution plant near you, like I do, you can just pick them up from the warehouse and save on the shipping cost.
