Free ice cream samples July 2 - Cold Stone Creamery
I know it is a while away, but I'll forget it if I don't post it now. This is a quote from Shop Etc. magazine...
July is National Ice Cream Month. To celebrate, Cold Stone Creamery's more than 1,100 stores are launching five new flavors - black licorice, ginger wasabi, oatmeal batter, tangerine sorbet and fruit loop. Free samples will be available July 2 from 10 AM to noon, during which time you can enter to win free ice cream for a year. |

Can anyone tell me how much their cakes run? I've never been in one of these stores, but their cakes look so good online! DH works near one of the stores, and I'd love to have him pick one up, but don't know if they're really expensive or not.

Although Cold Stone is delicious, I particularly love the cake batter ice cream, it ain't cheap. I have never purchased a cake but did look at the prices once and I think the cheapest smallest ones were about $20 and the mid-size about $30. Hope that helps. Jen |

Black Licorice ice cream? I need this lol. Stopping at Cold Stone is one of the highlights of going down and visiting my father. I love thier ice cream. We don't have any of them around here though which may in fact be a good thing with how much I like them lol.

Cake batter ice cream
Bad news for all of you that love their cake batter ice cream as much as I do! They've taken it off the market due to Salmonella Typhimurium contamination.
http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2005/NEW01200.html BUMMER!

I went for the samples today and I thought the fruit loop ice cream was disgusting-nasty aftertaste. The oatmeal batter was fine (barring any salmonella contamination *yikes*). I didn't even want to get near the others.

Well I was bummed out! Yesterday was the grand opening of the Cold Stone here and there wasn't a free thing to be had! I paid for my ice cream, which was still yummy and the atmosphere was fun, but gosh darn! I wanted the free stuff!
