Discounted groceries. Deadline to order is Monday January 9th

I'm not sure where to post this...

Do you want to cut your grocery bill, but still get quality food?

Angel Food cuts out the middlemen so you pay a lower price:
  • Groceries valued at $40-$75 are available for the low price of
    $25. See menu http://angelfoodministries.com/menu.asp
Restaurant quality groceries, at a substantially reduced price to everyone , who is interested in participating .

Quality, USDA approved meat and produce will be included to create a unit which will provide one meal per day for a family of four for one week or an individual for one month.

NO second-hand items, NO damaged or out-dated goods, NO dented cans without labels, NO day-old breads and NO over-ripe produce. "The food is not overstock items or junk. "It is good food that you would find on the shelves at your local grocery store."

NO applications to complete and NO qualifications to purchase.

NO limitations on the number of boxes or bonus foods you can order

Monthly specials such as steaks, chicken and pork will be offered as an added bonus.

The food is from distributors such as Kraft, Betty Crocker and
    IBP.

Discounted food not only for those that need it, but for
any others who appreciate deep discounts on quality groceries.

Order before the deadline and pick up your order on distribution day with a box (or cooler) to haul your food home.

(I prefer to go early as I can so it doesn't have time to start thawing.)

This wonderful service offers discounted foods not only to those that need it but for any others who appreciate deep discounts on quality groceries.

REMEMBER: This affordable price is available to everyone- from Donald Trump to college students and the elderly, regardless of your financial situation. NO strings attached and they DO accept food stamps.

There is also a tab for the current menu.

It is growing as they are adding host sites.

This was posted before, I think around June 05. But I called my mom and gave her the info on it for her area and she has been doing this since then. She says it is a great deal! You get exactly what the menu states and it's cheaper than getting it in the stores. She passed it aound to all her friends and family where she is, plus gave it to her church as they do food boxes for the needy. If you haven't done this, it is well worth the money you spend. Just wanted to share that with you. Thanks for reposting this, as many may have over looked it

Angel Food Ministries is awesome. I told my sister about it when it was posted before and she has been blessing me with it each month.

The food is delicious and in my case (one person household), I actually had to go buy a freezer before I could pick up the 2nd month's box. 1 box, plus 1 extra item (like the steaks) lasts me well over a month.

I'd recommend it to anyone.

Thank you, Girltalk, for posting about this program.
I thought for sure it wouldn't be available in my area, as it is not a big town but I looked thought the Texas host sites, and there is a distributor here! I emailed them to see when their order dates are for October.
This program just sounds like the best thing since sliced cheese to this single mommy! Sleep well tonight knowing you have definitely done your good deed for the day.

I apologize you all....I thought that I had posted it in the summer....when I first started doing it....but I did a search under Angel Food and AngelFood before I posted this time and didn't see anything.

Binny, if you don't see your city or a city nearby Angel Food is growing by leaps and bounds across the US so do check back often.

In July they had 110,000 regular orders across the US, in August 125,000 and in September they had 165,000 orders, October 219,000!

If anyone out there would like to have it come to their city the host sites are churches........if no one is doing it in your area....and you want it just contact them. (They are really nice to work with!)

You need volunteers to work it, to take orders and then on the Saturday it comes in. Actually Saturday is alot of fun. I went to a church, knowing no one there to see if I could help out (since it was the second time I had bought and I felt guilty that others were doing all the work) and I left that day with several new friends.

Thanks so much OP!

This sounds like a wonderful oppurtunity! The closest center is a little ways from me but it seems like its worth the drive. I'm sending the home page too both my parents.

I saw this posted on YDF last time too and have been doing it every few months since then. The food is great quality and a lot of it is frozen so it lasts a long time. There are sometimes substitutions in the menu, but they usually try to substitute a meat item, for another meat item, etc. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.
