JCPenney 40% off redtag
I was at JCPenney yesterday. They are up to 70% or more off clearance, take 40% off redtag. Had been looking for a short leather jacket. They had tons left. The one I got was originally 199 and the tag said 49.99. I was prepared to pay that since that is less than 70% off anyway, but when I got to the register they took 40% off. Got the jacket for 29.99!!!!!
Also they had tons of baby stuff and athletic stuff. That's as far as I got. I got a baby outfit - overalls and shirt for 4.00. The local team wear was clearanced as well. |

I got my son a 6-in-1 jacket on Saturday. Regular price was $79.99, discounted to $39.99, plus 40% off that. I paid $25.xx after tax for it. He loves it! And I love the price. And the fact it is not a reversible jacket. His last 2 jackets were reversible, and for some reason, the zipper pull (little tab you hold to zip and unzip the jacket) always comes off the reversible ones. And the pulls are impossible to find!! (This is the 3rd jacket he has worn since September - the first one the zipper pull broke in October, the 2nd one was actually a clearance jacket that I got last year for $10 and the zipper pull broke on Friday, now this one. It's frustrating!!)

try using a key chain ring as a zipper pull if the tab is still in place. A keychain is also easier for a gloved hand to pull up.

I tried that. However, the area is too small for even a small keychain to fit into it. It is set up so the zipper kind of sits on top of a small metal area. Because the jacket is reversible, the whole zipper pull can be lifted up and flipped over to zip the other side when it is reversed. (Sorry if this sounds confusing - it is hard to explain).
Where a normal zipper has a hole where the zipper pull attaches, this jacket does not. I wish I could figure out a way to fix it. He has one jacket that is in perfect condition, but too small that I would love to donate if it could be fixed. And the other jacket that I just replaced is still in perfect condition too. All because of a stinking zipper pull!! |

Try a paperclip
I've used a paperclip when a key chain wouldnt' go through the hole.
It's easier to fit through and you can get them colored or vinyl or put something like beads on it maybe. Or maybe just a temporary fix till later. HTH's. Lori |
