AAA Membership Discounts?
I am not a new AAA member but I am just curious to find out if they work on a referral basis or is there any web site that can give me points for renewing.
It's $50 just for me and I rarely use it. I hold onto the membership for a peace of mind. Thoughts??

I do this too. I haven't found any discounts, but besides roadside assistance, they have a wealth of other cheap/free services to members and I would check those out so you can feel you get more out of your membership.
For example, if you are going on a trip, you can get free travel books. If you are driving, they also give you directions and maps. In the directions (trip tik), they outline everything for you and use highlighters. They also do the free duplicate plastic keys just in case you get locked out of your car. I know there are discounts on admission to places and other things too. I started using these and now I feel like the money spent is more worth it! |

They have TONS of discounts for shopping, museums, theme parks, travel, etc.
Ex: If you shop Payless Shoes you can always get 10% off the price just for showing your card. Just go to www.aaa.com, put in your zip code and click on discounts links. Honestly I would keep this insurance just for the peace of mind alone but I laso found that I use quiet a few discounts offers too. |
