the Grocery Game, anyone do this?

I just started today on the $1. trial, I went to Albertsons and saved a bundle. Not only on the items GG had advertised but on items that they had just put out for clearance! I couldnt believe the deals I got! I wouldnt have gone today if I hadnt signed up for this so I was very happy

So my totals today were:

Total spent $52.59
Total worth $110.12
Total savings $57.53!!!

So I saved over 52%

I was a happy camper

does anyone else do this?

You might also check out www.couponmom.com. The lady who runs this particular site does couponing spots for Good Morning America. The information is free and she suggests you donate extras to charity.

I have tried The Grocery Game twice and I am always disapointed. The lag time between when the sales start and when the information is posted makes it hard to trade for coupons for a sale. Also at least for my area The Grocery Game at last I checked only covered one market in my area -- plus they charge per supermarket list you want acess to.

There are websites where folks are more into this sort of stuff and folks post the circular deals often a week early plus the match up coupons to the sales. There are also email list servs (like Yahoo Groups) for local area good deal alerts where folks post deals to look for.

Good luck with whatever way you go

Maddy

I was just going to inquire about this!! I am curious. A friends friend swears by this and saves alot of money so I checked out the website. I don't understand the concept ....maybe I am dense or something. It sounds like I may be buying things I don't need right now or in the near future and maybe stocking up on somethings. I can understand the concept of buying stuff you don't need because it is on sale LOL (that is how I rationalize alot of purchases lol)

And to buy $10 for just a few weeks.........I dunno.

I guess that is what the free trial is for to see if it works for you.

I am about halfway into my trial and I really like it. It does have a lag time but I don't do my shopping until Saturday so I don't notice it all that much.

I have saved alot, but I use ads more than I do the site.

I use the grocery game mainly for stockpiling. If I can get the items I use at the lowest possible price, I'm more than happy to stockpile them!

I find it really easy and only buy the items I use - has definitely saved me alot of money and time, since they do all the work for you!

Here is another one, it is supposedly all over the US, but started out in AZ...

I have tried it for the cheapest subscription, but haven't renewed yet, it is great if you live in bigger areas, & they have a fantastic message board, but you must join to gain access, I think they have a free 1 week trial, no cc required, if I remember correctly.....
