? regarding Target pricing policy..
I cannot find the links, but I could SWEAR I saw a post at one time saying that Target's final clearance price ends with an X.
I saw the train tables there today marked 55.98 (this one: http://www.pricecomparison.com/prdtd...orenum=2510133) and am wondering if i should go get one, or wait a few days, they had ten sitting on an end cap. |

Final clearance ends in $xx.x4. It goes down to $xx.x8 twice then only once to $xx.x4. (Unless you're lucky enough to find some things that are 0 in the system.

THANKS!! sorry I forgot the "TIA" earlier, phone rang and i hit enter. I made a note in my coupon binder so I KNOW now!! LOL
BTW- at the Super Target on University and I-75 they have TONS of kid's shoes on clearance- and a lot of infant sized. I grabbed about 9 pair, all 3.74-4.98. Dressy shoes, tennis shoes, etc. Last edited by mkcrturner; 01-24-2007 at 01:03 PM. Reason: add more info... |

I found out a little trick today at Target. Up on the top right side of the orange sticker, there's a tiny #. That will tell you how much the item is marked down. If it's 75, the girl said that it won't be marked down anymore, it would be sent to salvage. That way, you know whether or not to buy something or wait another week. Granted, once in a while, you can still find salvaged merchandise on the floor, you can usually get a good price out of them.

You're lucky on that one. Most Targets are now very strict on the salvage or ringing up zero. You can take a chance and some cashiers will let it go and give you a good price, but lately my stores (we have five close to me) will not budge and will not sell it. Policy wise they are not supposed to sell it once it's out of the system so you just take a chance. |
