Hallmark-WOO HOO!

Today, I was in the mall and went into hallmark to browse. I found a whole bin of yankee candle tarts and votives in the clearance area. I found four kinds: Vanilla carmel, Chocolate chip cookie, Lavendar and storm watch. They had no price tags and I asked a clerk how much they were. She said that they are normally priced 1.79 but you also took an additional 90% off. I ended up getting the tarts and votives for .18 cents each! I spent around $6-8 dollars for $65+ worth of votives and tarts! They also gave me a survey, told me to complete it and afterwards I would get $2 off any purchase on my next visit! Hallmark also had Dept. 56 stuff in the clearance area for less than three dollars. Also they had yankee candle toppers and yankee votive holders starting at .39 cents. These are the final costs after the 90% discount (which they take off at the registers.). I am not sure if it's going in all hallmarks, tho.

On a final note: Noticed that the yankee stores doesn't have a clearance section anymore. I asked the woman why they got rid of it. She said that they only do it at big sales. She also told me that there is going to be a big presidents sale starting on Feb. 16th and the clearance sections would be present at this one. So mark your calendars!

That truely is an amazing deal - good for you! I only get the Yankee Tarts - they are so good but so pricey! .18 cents each is such a steal!

Lucky duck- the hallmark in town is so stingy ( and the ladies are very unfriendly + always have the look of being at the dentist having their teeth pulled..it takes an act of some undescribeable power for their upside down frown to turn to a smile....sorry but I hate that specific store!!!) they won't go below 50% off...the mgr claims they just pull the stuff from the shelf....

That's too funny! I feel EXACTLY the same way about the ladies in my local Hallmark store. And the scowl only gets worse if I walk in and one of my kids are with me.......yikes!! Don't worry ladies--I won't even let them breathe on the merchandise!
