So far in May I have bought almost no groceries.
Been rather busy, though at Walgreen's and CVS. During May I've been having a good run at Make-up, Eucerine skin cream and lotions as well as 8 boxes of 200 count Tissues (Hard not to call it Kleenex but it's not that brand!) and other Heath & Beauty things. Did the P&G deal buy 20 get 20 on Cover Girl / garner Fractos (however its spelled) / Venus at Walgreen's last week.. oh my goodness. I can give you tips on this weeks buy 15 get 5 Unileaver deal at Walgreen's. you should keep your eyes open for the bundled pack of 12 oz Dove Shampoo with a free full size conditioner attached. It does ring up at the 3/$10 sale price and counts in the Unileaver deal. (has to be 12 oz size) There are $1 mfg coupons out for that. Of course the Dove ProAge bar 2-pack is 2.50 and there is a $2 mfg coupon you can use on that. That also counts in the Unileaver deal. Last Week CVS I did the peanut deal & one set of the Eucerine deal. This week at CVS I did 2 seperate orders under my card. Both orders combined totaled around $75 and I spent only around $9 out of pocket. My orders included the Revelon deal, the Eucerine deal, Visine Tears, CVS 200 count tissues and a 3-pack of CVs paper towels. ***** Walmart has the 35 count Nextcare Bandages for $1.50 so stopped twice this week and got 10 packages each time with the $1 mfg coupons. $1.50 - $1 = 50¢+ tax per package. 50¢ is the best I can do on those right now. I have more coupons but nobody is having a better sale on these so I'll probably end up with more from Walmart. I really should figure out a way to buy groceries, but the sales are so terrible lately. ****** Last edited by luckyme; 05-24-2007 at 03:44 PM. |

Isn't anyone shopping in May?
I'm still mostly just doing Walgreen's and CVS. Simply don't seem to be grocery deals around. So this week: I've been to Walgreen's and CVS this week... I think the deals were good, considering what I got for the low out of pocket (oop) cost. At Walgreen's on Monday: Quattro 4-packs are on sale 5.99 I used the $4 Shick Intution (also says or quattro) mfg coupon in combination with the $2 off Quattro IVC (instant value coupon from the May Easy Saver Booklet) to get the 4-packs of disposable Quattro FREE + tax. ( 5.99 -4 -2 =free) I got 2, a 4-pack for Women and a blue 4-pack, I just paid tax Had no problem at all. I also picked up a Gal of Milk on sale $1.99 **************** At CVS: On Monday I got the coffee for the "Kraft Deal" they advertised. I never noticed before but the small can of Maxwell House Original contains 2 oz more than the French Roast. They didn't have it on the shelf, just a few French Roast so I had to reread the paper to see which actually qualified. I asked the girl to see if they had 8 Original "in back" and they did! 8 of 13 oz cans Maxwell House Original Coffee $20 - 4 off 20 printed coupon -2 off 10 CRT -5 ECB -$1 ECB -$1 ECB ** it refused to take my second $5 ECB the register read "Coupon limit reached" I didn't argue. --------------- Subtotal $7.00 No tax on food. $7 cash oop I got the $10 ECB back. Also a new CRT for 2 off 10 printed I went again yesterday and got Energizer batteries at CVS. The $5EB WYB $15 Energizer can be done twice and the total is cumulative. 1st order: $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack $5.29 - 1 MAX "D" 4 pack $5.29 - 1 MAX "D" 4 pack $5.29 - 1 MAX "D" 4 pack $5.29 - 1 MAX "D" 4 pack -$4 (4 off 20) -$10 ECB -$1.00 mfg coupon from newspaper -$1.00 mfg coupon from newspaper -$1.00 mfg coupon from newspaper -$1.00 mfg coupon from newspaper tax 43¢ cash due $3.59 oop Received a $5 ECB and a 2 off 10 CRT 2nd order: $5.29 - 1 MAX "D" 4 pack $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack -$2 (2 off 10 CRT) -$2 peelie -$2 peelie - $5 ECB tax 34¢ cash due $2.01 oop Received another $5 ECB When I got out to the car I looked over my receipts and the girl had NOT deducted 2 of the $2 peelies. I remembered she had disagreed about those being scannable. She said already being taken off but I told her she was wrong.. anyway she apparently failed to scan two of them... Peeves me, but hey I still did mighty good since i seriously needed the "D" batteries! I WILL watch that clerk much closer from now on. But I decided to go back in and do the 3rd order (simply cuz its a great deal on the AA) and I stacked that 2 off 10 that expires June 6. I figured she owed me that from missing my peelies earlier. I didn't say anything about it though and she didn't even disagree this time.. she just did it all. 3rd order: $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack $3.69 - 1 Titanium AA 4-pack 1 Clorox liq bleach 60 oz 99¢ 1 Clorox liq bleach 60 oz 99¢ 1 Clorox liq bleach 60 oz 99¢ -$4 (4 off 20) -2 (2 off 10) -$2 peelie -$2 peelie -$2 peelie -$2 peelie -$2 peelie -99¢ (mfg coupon B2g1free clorox) Tax 93¢ cash due $3.36 oop So now I'm all "rolled over" and holding $10 new ECB's that don't expire till June 23.
