We were browsing at our local Big Lots and my daughters who knit found a fantastic deal on yarn. Three large boxes of all sorts of specialty yarns, including the very expensive ribbon yarns. DD said that many of these yarns cost $5-8/ skein. She stocked up for future projects and after consulting patterns we will make another trip this afternoon. Check it out.

Darn it all, unfortunately, not in my store in Washington State. My college age daughter has asked for yarn and needles for Christmas because her dorm mates are going to teach her to knit. Thanks for posting anyway.

The dollar store near me has some nice lions brand yarn. It normally sells for 4 to 6 dollars
