I know that Kohl's, younkers/boston store/herbergers, tarjay, bed, bath and beyond and BCF are having quite a few sales. some are door busters. You may want to swipe the local paper from your bin. Good luck.

Went out this morning and not much going on. Kohls seemed to be my best deals because when they mark something on clearance you are getting a deal IMO. K-mart had ALOT of X-mas stuff 50% off but no extra ordinary deals. No deals for me at CVS(25-50% off x-mas),Sears or JCPenney either. I am a bargain shopper though and bought a top at Kohls on clearance for $2.80 and then went to JCP and tops were on clearance for $16.00-I said forget this.

My theory: I got better deals BEFORE Christmas! I think they are holding off because so many people go out and use gift cards after Christmas so keeping prices high. Hopefully prices will fall through Jan.

I was actually quite shocked this year as I went to my local Target early this morning when the store first opened and their was hardly anything left. Other years they had so much leftover as far as gift sets, Christmas items, etc but I could not even find a single roll of wrapping paper and was lucky to at least get a box of cards, some tissue paper, and a couple of decorative hand towels, paper plates, and cups. That was about it. I have a feeling they either must have had alot of last minute shoppers this year or perhaps they didn't buy as much to avoid having too much stuff to have to be marked down after the holidays. The other store that I found similar to my experience at Target was Bath & Body Works. I went there about an hour after Target and was lucky to find one bath gel in the temptations product line left in chocolate mint scent I had been eyeing before Christmas but decided to wait as I wanted to get it on sale. I was at least lucky to get the one left they had

What is up with these sales?

I hit the mall this morning to find that there were hardly any deals to be found! Macy's had some good clearance, if you had the coupon. I bought a hat that was not on sale and some Gucci glasses at Nordstrom (they were 50% off!). Nordstrom also had some good deals on some higher end bags. Harry and David hadn't even marked their stuff down yet and L'Occitane, who usually puts a bunch of sets at 70% 12/26, offered no leftover gift sets and very limited clearance 10-50% off or buy 2 get 1 free.

In my experience both black Friday and 12/26 sales were stinkers this year. The good news, I saved over 60% on my Christmas shopping just by tracking prices and utilizing free super saver shipping at Amazon.

Thumbs up My day and a YC semi annual sale announcement

The mall was busy. Geeesh it wasn't too much fun walking through it.

I went to younkers first and used my $10 off $10 coupon on a 50% off holiday yankee candle. I paid only 1.57 after the 50% off and the $10 off $10 coupon.

I went over to Yankee candle and I noticed that they are having their semi annual sale. This is the time of the year to stock up people: 12 votives for $10, $1 votive candle holders, BOGO free on holiday scented oils, holiday scented tarts, etc. 50% off selected jar candles, $3 non electric tart warmers and $7 Electric tart warmers. There are more things I found in the store but didn't remember them all. To tell you the truth I wanted to buy everything in that store, but I am saving up for my new years trip to IL. So I got out of there fast.

Then I went to new Ulta that just opened up in the mall. I didn't find much of anything, but I spotted YC candles in holiday scents for 50% off, gift sets for 50% off, Ulta blockbusters for 14.99, makeup sets marked down to $3-$4 to $6-$7, stuff like that. I remembered that I had a coupon for the free smashbox lip pallete gift valid from this friday to next sunday so I figure I would I would wait intil this friday or saturday.

I went over to BBW. It was a madhouse. Many of their holiday items are 50% off. Very cheap deals but I like their semi annual clearance sales better So I will wait.

My target (I live in WI) had a ton of stuff leftover from the holidays. Here is what I found:
Jones four pack of "pies" soda: 3.75 (lemon men.,blueberry, apple and cherry)
Dollar spot holiday ribbon-2 spools: .50 cents each
dollar spot confetti for cakes: .50 cents each
Foil address labels for the printer: 1.49
cookie writing frosting (dollar spot): .50 cents
Pillsbury confetti and frosting: .64 cents

I guess people didn't feel like running around target to get the good stuff.

PS: I have heard that 75% off happens this weekend. I think I will see if the Jones soda is still there this weekend. If so, then I think I will buy some or I will wait intil 90% off (crossing fingers).

I have five Target stores very close to me and the one I went to today had tons of stuff left. I'm looking forward to the 75% and 90% sales since I have gift cards

The Yankee Candle in the mall here had Buy 1 Get 1 in a lot of non-holiday scents too.....Cherry Lemonade, Watermelon, Mango, Island Banana, etc.

We bought 4 candles and they gave us two $5 off coupons for their new spring scents.
