OT : Everyone needs help & Can help too!

Dont know if this is right place to put this, but have to brag a little. I have been going to Free Food distribution for over 10 years. Pay $3 get a ton of fresh fruits/veggies. Well for 5 months this same organization is doing Absolutely FREE food giveaway in addition to the produce 1. Today for 3 hours of standing in line I got around $250 in free food. Check out your local areas & see if this type of group exists or start 1!!! With gas & food prices rising & wages/SSI/etc not, there is a total need for nationwide programs like this. I am sending coupons to overseas bases for the Moose club here. Just shows anyone & everyone can get involved in helping others. Thank you for this forum, it sure helps my budget. Gizz

Hi, I never heard of this one, that I know of. I’d like to check with our local pantry to see if they work in conjunction with this organization. I did a quick google but the term is a bit generic. Is there a main website for info on who sponsors the outreach and where people can donate items? Is it for emergency relief or primarily for long term patrons?

It sounds like an answer to prayer for those in need. I hope it can continue as apparently the demand is going to increase. TIA!

Supersaver the produce is by a multi-church group. They got the stuff for these 5 months thru secondharvest I believe. Think the web addy is secondharvest.org. Gizz
