Ethical Questions on TMF

I have had several times where I had a "like it or it's free" guarantee and I honestly liked the product! I just couldn't bring myself to say I didn't! Am I the only one that feels this way? I am not trying to be a goody two shoes, but when they ask why I didn't like it I don't know what to say! I do like it, but wouldn't mind some coupons to get more! I was thinking about saying just that, maybe emailing them, but haven't done that yet.

Anyone else struggle with this dilemma?

If you really like a product, why don't you send the company an e-mail telling them that you like it. Most companies want both negative AND positive feedback, and they will often send you some cents-off coupons for your next purchase, plus a nice letter of appreciation.

feedback

That's what I do. I call or e-mail feedback I always get coupons. They aren't always as much as the product would be free but at least it's a coupon.

It's not a dilemma at all for me. And I don't mind being considered a goody two shoes Sure, they wouldn't know if I lied to get a refund, but I would.

I have written to companies both when I've really liked the product and when I haven't, and sometimes I get coupons in response. And when I don't, that's okay too. Once I wrote a company on behalf of my boyfriend's mom, she liked one product but felt it was too expensive for her; they sent full value coupons for her.

Sometimes I really like, even love the product, but hate the packaging, and that's what I tell them. I have a lot of trouble opening some kinds of bottles & boxes, and get really aggravated when spray bottles stop working.
