Any news about Fashion Bug?
Two fashion bugs in our area are having going out of business sales. They seem to have brought in more inventory from Lane Bryant and sizes up to 6x.
Is the whole company going under? Or just these locations? |

I did a Google search and found this...
Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Catherine's closing 150 stores February 6th, 2008, 2:36 pm · 6 Comments · posted by HANG NGUYEN The owner of retailers Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Catherine's Plus Sizes will close about 150 under performing stores this year. The company hasn’t provided a list of specific store closures and can’t say when it will offer that info, spokeswoman Brooke Perry said today. In Orange County, there are seven Lane Bryant stores at the Village at Orange, Shops at Mission Viejo, Buena Park Downtown, Market Place, Westminster Mall, Westfield MainPlace and Brea Mall. There are four Catherines in Santa Ana, La Habra, Fullerton and Lake Forest and one Fashion Bug in Garden Grove. The owner of these retailers, Charming Shoppes Inc., plans to close a total of about 100 Fashion Bugs, 40 Lane Bryants and 10 Catherines, Perry said. In a majority of cases, the closing store is in an area supported by a number of other company stores, Charming Shoppes said in a press release. The closures are a result of the “continuing weak retail and economic environment,” according to the release. |
