Target to match Wal-Mart prices & plans "aggressive" price cuts for the holiday season
http://www.realclearmarkets.com/news..._earnings.html
During the holidays, Target will remain "keenly focused" on offering low prices on national brands and its own products and will match Wal-Mart prices on identical items in local markets, said Kathryn Tesija, Target's executive vice president of merchandise. Target Corp. said Monday it will aggressively cut prices to give consumers bargains during the holiday season |

This is good news for us. With this economy and hardly any work for my hubby (a general contractor), any help with Christmas is a blessing. When it comes to being cash strapped, one has to get from anywhere the prices are the best deals.

Thanks. I'm a devoted Target shopper and only go to Walmart when desperate.

Thank you very much for the info. OP. I love Target's "dollar section" for stocking stuffers for the kids!

Usually, you have to bring proof of the ad and Walmarts ads are few in our area - sometimes a single page. So Target might be price matching but being able to actually put it to use is a different story.

Last few weeks Target has been offering an extra 30% off all clearance clothes.
I will try to see if I can find more info on their extra sales. My source is legit since Im a PT employee! Last edited by TSUalum93; 11-26-2008 at 01:14 PM. |
