Has anyone ever lost their binder?? - YDF - Your Daily Freebies Forum - Coupon Codes

Mine has been missing for a few months now, and my grocery bills are showing it!! I was using an accordian style holder, and finally said "enough" and bought a new binder.
I hunted all through the house and car, and have NO CLUE where it could have gone. I even had my address and UNLISTED phone number in my old binder. Oh well. I hope that if someone found it, that they at least used the coupons. LOL.
I started my new binder today, and phew! I have tons of coupons.
Please tell me I am not the only one who has misplaced my binder........

I use a coupon file box. It looks like an index card holder but bigger LOL. Someone actually stoled one out of my cart while shopping one day. Talk about brave. I also but my address and telephone number my box, I use address labels. Maybe if you got a bright colored binder it would be easy to spot if you misplaced it in the house. Just a thought.

Almost lost my coupon holder and realized about an hour later that I left it at the grocery so I went back and got it! Thought I was going to have a heart attack until I had it securely in my hands again. Try the customer service desk at the grocery store they may have it.

I'd like to see pics of some of your coupon organizing systems. I have a couple of those crappy accordian style ones I got at the dollar tree for a temporary system until I can figure out the best way.

OMG, I would have a heart attack if I lost my binder. I put it in the same place when I'm done w/ it and the family has been warned it is totally off limits to them or risk bodily harm

No but really I'd probably have a panic attack if I lost it or someone took it. I keep my train & exchange info in the back as well as addy labels, pens, markers, small calculator in a zippered pouch and the weekly ads in the front.

Antispice, you gotta try the binder. It's the best system I've found that works :D I think I heard about it from Stacy originally. Right?? And at one time there was a post w/ directions on how to set it up

I actually left mine in the cart the other day..but a nice man stopped me going out the door and pointed out that I had left something in my cart.
It happened because I've been "specific item" shopping and I have not been pulling coupons out of the binder while in the store lately. I keep the ones I intend to use in the side pocket of my purse..and so I forgot and ALMOST left the binder setting in the bottom of the cart. I do keep a trade card with NAZ and e-mail in the binder..but I hope I never really lose it.

I have left mine sitting on the counter at the store several times. I have my name and number in it and they always call me and tell me they are holding it for me. One time though someone did go through it and take all of my free coupons.

If I lost mine, my family would starve after my stockpiles were gone :-)

I would totally freak if I lost my binder. Stacy has a whole thread on the binder system and in my eyes deserves all the credit for it. !

Well after reading everyone about their binder I finally have mine!
I love it, But I used a photo album that I had laying around that I had gotten a few years ago from old navy. the pages do not come out. But each page holds 2 4x6 pic. I cut off the edge of the page so I could have access to each side. And then I grouped all the coupons together. I use to use a small index box with dividers. But love this sooo much more instead of going through each section I can turn a page and easyily see all my coupons !

YES, I misplaced mine a few months ago. I thought I had left it in the car and went out there and nothing... a sweat came over my entire body, I just couldn't imagine starting over, not to mention all the great coupons in there. So I got out my checkbook and saw which store I was at last listed... it had been a few days. I called them, and they had it. I told her it was a black binder with coupons and she said, "A BIG BLACK BINDER" LOL. They probably thought I was crazy. So went and picked it up and no coupons were missing, even the free ones. I immediately put in a return address label in the inside and added my phone number. I've been real careful ever since that happened, but it can happen very easily.
